About Us
Since 1989, we've seen it all.
More than three decades of restoring British Columbia properties with building science expertise, unwavering standards, and 24/7 emergency response.
Our Story
Built on science. Driven by service.
HydraClean was founded in 1989 in the Okanagan Valley with a simple conviction: disaster restoration should be grounded in building science, not guesswork. What began as a small water damage response team has grown into one of British Columbia's most trusted full-service restoration companies, handling everything from residential floods to large-scale catastrophic loss events across Western Canada.
Over three decades, we have expanded our expertise to include fire and smoke restoration, mould remediation, asbestos abatement, trauma scene cleanup, and contents restoration. Every service we offer is backed by the same building science approach that set us apart from day one. We understand how moisture, heat, and contaminants move through building assemblies, and we use that knowledge to restore properties properly rather than just making them look fixed.
Key milestones mark our growth: expanding into the Kootenay Boundary region, deploying catastrophic loss teams for the BC wildfire seasons, and earning IICRC Master Designation — the highest credential in the restoration industry, held by fewer than 4% of technicians worldwide. Our team holds IICRC Master Technician designation, and maintains full WorkSafeBC certification for asbestos abatement. Through it all, our model has stayed the same. One team handles your project from emergency response to final reconstruction. No subcontractors, no handoffs, and no gaps in accountability.
