Odour Removal

Not masked. Eliminated.

Professional odour identification and elimination for smoke, mould, sewage, and biological sources.

The Problem

Persistent odours are not just unpleasant — they indicate a contamination source that may pose health risks. Masking odours with air fresheners does nothing to address the cause.

Professional odour removal requires identifying the source, treating the affected materials, and verifying elimination. Different odour types require different treatment methods — what works for smoke will not work for mould, and what works for mould will not work for sewage.

Our Process

01

Source Identification

Locate the contamination causing the odour. This may require thermal imaging, moisture detection, or air quality testing to find hidden sources behind walls or under floors.

02

Source Treatment

Address the root cause directly — mould remediation, cleaning, or material removal. Without treating the source, any odour treatment is temporary.

03

Odour Treatment

Thermal fogging, ozone treatment, hydroxyl generators, or enzyme treatments depending on the source type. We select the right technology for each situation.

04

Air Scrubbing

HEPA filtration and air exchange to remove airborne particles and residual odour compounds from the indoor environment.

05

Verification

Follow-up inspection to confirm complete odour elimination. We do not consider the job done until the odour is gone — not masked, eliminated.

What To Do Right Now

Walk through the affected area and note where the smell is most intense. This helps narrow down the source location and gives our team a starting point for investigation.
Odours that get worse with humidity or rain often indicate mould or water damage. Odours that appeared after a specific event help narrow the cause. This timeline information is valuable for diagnosis.
Fresh air exchange helps reduce odour concentration and improves indoor air quality while you wait for professional treatment. Open windows on opposite sides of the space for cross-ventilation.
Air fresheners add a competing scent but do nothing to address the contamination source. They can also make it harder for our team to locate the source during assessment. Avoid them until the problem is resolved.
Visible mould growth, water stains, peeling paint, or evidence of rodents or insects can all be linked to persistent odours. Document anything you notice — it helps speed up the investigation.

Why HydraClean

Our scientific approach identifies the root cause rather than covering it up. We have multiple treatment technologies available — thermal fogging, ozone, hydroxyl generators, enzyme treatments — and select the right one for each situation. Every job includes verification to confirm the odour is truly eliminated.
